Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and OppPaths ("we", "us", "our"), the operator of opppaths.com and the OppPaths service. OppPaths is run by an individual sole operator based in Thailand.

By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use OppPaths. Nothing here is meant to take away rights the law gives you as a consumer.

OppPaths is an AI-powered platform that helps students prepare scholarship applications: manage a student profile, track and discover scholarships, run AI gap analysis, and get AI help drafting documents such as CVs and statements of purpose.

Scholarship listings, deadlines, eligibility, and funding details can change and are outside our control. Always confirm the details directly with each scholarship provider before you apply. OppPaths does not award scholarships and cannot guarantee any outcome.

You must be at least 13 years old to use OppPaths. If you are under 18, you may use it only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to these Terms on your behalf and is responsible for your use. If you are in Thailand and under the age of majority (20), we rely on the consent or approval of your parent or guardian, except where the law lets a minor act on their own.

If you use OppPaths for a school or organization, you confirm you are authorized to accept these Terms for it.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account, except where it results from a security failure that is our fault. Keep your account and profile accurate, and only share personal information needed for the scholarship planning you want to do.

Please do not use OppPaths to break the law or infringe anyone’s rights, submit fraudulent scholarship materials or misrepresent your identity or qualifications, interfere with the service or attempt unauthorized access, scrape it at abusive volume, or reverse engineer, resell, or misuse it in ways that harm us, other users, scholarship providers, or our service providers.

We may suspend or close an account we reasonably believe is being used in a harmful, unlawful, or abusive way, giving notice and a chance to fix things where reasonable and lawful.

You own your content. You keep ownership of the profile information, documents, and drafts you submit or create. You grant us only the limited permission needed to host, process, display, and generate outputs from your content so we can provide the service. We do not claim ownership of your work and do not use your content to train AI models.

AI is a helper, not a guarantee. AI features assist with analysis, organization, and drafting. They do not guarantee scholarship eligibility, admission, funding, awards, interviews, or any other outcome. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date, and you are responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying it before submitting it anywhere.

Payments are processed by Stripe in US dollars. We never store your full card details.

Subscriptions:

• Pro: $9 per month.
• Family: $15 per month.

Subscriptions renew automatically each month until you cancel. You can cancel anytime through the billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then.

Credits:

• Monthly plan credits reset each billing period and do not roll over.
• One-time credit packs are available at $5, $9, or $29. Purchased credit packs do not expire with the billing cycle and persist until used.

Prices are exclusive of any applicable taxes, which are your responsibility. If we change prices, we will give advance notice and the change applies from your next billing period; you can cancel before it takes effect.

• Unused credit packs are refundable within 7 days of purchase. Email support@opppaths.com.
• Consumed credits and elapsed subscription time are non-refundable.
• Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not refund the current period, but you keep access until it ends.

EEA/UK consumers may have a statutory right to withdraw within 14 days. Because OppPaths is digital content delivered immediately, by starting to use a paid feature during that period you ask us to begin right away and may lose the withdrawal right for any part already delivered. Nothing here limits your non-waivable statutory consumer rights.

If a charge looks wrong, contact us and we will make it right.

We work to keep OppPaths running well, but the service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that every scholarship listing or AI result will be complete, current, or accurate.

OppPaths does not provide legal, immigration, tax, financial-aid, or professional admissions advice; consult a qualified advisor when you need one. These disclaimers do not exclude warranties or rights that cannot legally be excluded, including mandatory consumer protections in your country.

We will take reasonable care in providing the service. To the extent the law allows, OppPaths and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, or for lost profits, lost opportunities, or scholarship outcomes. Where we are liable and the law allows a limit, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or, if you paid nothing, we will resolve the matter in good faith).

Some countries, including in the EEA/UK and under Thai law, do not allow certain liability to be excluded (for example for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or breaches of non-waivable consumer rights). Nothing here limits that.

You can stop using OppPaths and delete your account anytime in Settings. We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these Terms or use the service unlawfully. Sections that should survive by their nature (content ownership, disclaimers, liability, governing law) continue to apply after your account ends.

We may update the service and these Terms as OppPaths evolves. If a change is material, we will take reasonable steps to notify you and update the date above. If you do not agree, you can stop using the service and close your account. Continued use after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Thailand, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts of Thailand have jurisdiction over disputes. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts where the law allows. Before starting formal proceedings, please contact us first at support@opppaths.com so we can try to resolve things directly.
