Create a Student Profile

A student profile is the record of academic background, achievements, and goals that OppPaths uses for every match, fit analysis, and generated document. The more complete it is, the better those results are.

Steps

1. Go to Students in the sidebar and click New Student.
2. Fill in personal information, academic details (education level, GPA, test scores), study interests, extracurriculars, volunteer work, leadership roles, and research experience.
3. Add a motivation statement — a few sentences on why you want to study abroad or pursue this path — plus short-term and long-term career goals.
4. Instead of typing everything, you can paste a resume or bio, fetch content from a URL, or upload a PDF/DOCX file, and let OppPaths extract the details automatically. Review what it pulled in before saving.
5. Click Save to create the profile.

Tip: You do not need every field filled in to get started — a partial profile still works. Fill in more later as you think of it; every update immediately feeds future fit analyses and documents.

What you'll see

The new profile appears on the Students page. From there you can open it any time to keep adding detail, or click Edit Profile to change existing information — OppPaths always uses your latest saved data, so keep it current as things change.
