Extract Scholarship Requirements

Before you can run a fit analysis or generate documents, your project needs the scholarship's actual requirements. You rarely need to type these in by hand.

Steps

1. Open your project and go to the Requirements tab.
2. Paste the scholarship's requirement text, paste a URL to the scholarship page, or upload a PDF — OppPaths reads it and extracts the requirements automatically.
3. If you started the project from Add to Project on a scholarship listing, the requirements are already pre-filled from the scholarship record, and you can start here instead.
4. Review the extracted requirements and correct anything that looks off before moving on.

Uploading the official application form

If the scholarship provides its own application form or essay prompt document, upload it in the Application Form tab. This lets OppPaths generate documents that answer the exact prompts and respect specific word limits, rather than a generic version.

Note: Extraction quality depends on how the source text is structured — a clean scholarship page or PDF extracts more reliably than a messy screenshot of text.
