Track Your Progress
Log preparation activities and see how far along you are
As you work through a project's timeline, tracking your progress keeps you honest about what is actually done versus what is still planned.
Steps
- Open your project and go to the Progress tab.
- Log the preparation activities you complete — taking a test, requesting a reference, finishing a draft essay, and so on.
- Check in periodically, especially against milestones from your generated timeline.
Tip: Regular check-ins, even brief ones, make it much easier to catch a slipping deadline early rather than realizing it a week before the application is due.
Why bother logging this separately
The Analysis and Documents tabs tell you what to fix and what to write; the Progress tab is the only place that tracks whether you actually did the work in between — taking the test you scheduled, sending the reference request you meant to send. It is a simple checklist, not another AI feature, and it costs no credits to use.
What you'll see
Your overall project progress bar, visible on the Overview tab and your dashboard, reflects completed steps across the whole project, not just this tab, so logging progress here contributes to the full picture everyone working on the project sees.
